realistically though guys

- even as horrible and front running as our fan base in Louisiana is and the fact that it could be raining in Wyoming and some will argue that being a reason why attendance is low -

at least we're not Atlanta. they had the lowest attendance tonight with 10,684 lol

I suppose we're just going to have to endure these utterly meaningless attendance threads. I'm baffled by them and why they're here with such regularity.

It's so hard to read it on a box score, so this is a help?

Actually, unless the guys are making a point with the post rather than posting one stat from the box score, I think these posts should be killed.

But of course there's no point . . . these guys are appearing more-and-more brain dead.

And that's not uncommon. Actual butts in the seats in November are low in number for many NBA cities. Not just N.O.

The attendance was bad all of last season. Granted the team was shitty and had no attraction other than the opponents superstars. Are we sure more people will show up this season?

People act like attendance is a monetary thing only. I think there is more to it. Players are more motivated by bigger crowds. Large crowds help win close games. Free agents and draft picks are more attracted to a place where fans are passionate etc.

This "sweep it under the rug" mentality regarding attendance is worrisome. People said it would get better last year "after the saints season" or " after the holidays" or "after Mardi gras". We better hope this team starts winning. It's the only solution

Winning is the fix, and that will happen.

Repeatedly stating the obvious does not help, and not wanting the incessant droning isn't sweeping under the rug. I follow it closely. It's just not surprising or detrimental long term.

The real benefit to actual attendance is people seeing people at the games and the sense of community or tribe that is engendered.

That is what fuels the things that anchor teams.

If 2h-1 satisfies you, great.

You are in the minority.

Poor guy.

Here's the way I view attendance. If you ask me two times if attendance matters, I'll probably give you two different answers. Some people care, so lets stop shitting on those who do. And for the people that don't care, well that is cool too.

And we all know the same thing. It won't change until later. Why are most of you getting all mad about something you can't personally change. Its a lose-lose. Every year its the same thing with attendance. It picks up later in the season as always. I don't understand some of you. Its not like the team is on the verge of moving either. I just think some of you just need something to complain about. For real.

It makes no sense to be mad is the answer there, ya know. Its going to happen. History repeats itself.
