It makes no sense to be mad is the answer there, ya know. Its going to happen. History repeats itself.

People are starting Gordon topics ad nauseum. They mad too. They have no control. Makes no impact.

Nada.

You always get riled up and get mad on here.

I don't get it, either. Just a message board.

Winning.

Winning is the fix, and that will happen.

Repeatedly stating the obvious does not help, and not wanting the incessant droning isn't sweeping under the rug. I follow it closely. It's just not surprising or detrimental long term.

The real benefit to actual attendance is people seeing people at the games and the sense of community or tribe that is engendered.

That is what fuels the things that anchor teams.

Are we sure more people will show up this season?

If they're an exciting team and win more games, attendance will be better after the first of the year.

People act like attendance is a monetary thing only. I think there is more to it. Players are more motivated by bigger crowds. Large crowds help win close games. Free agents and draft picks are more attracted to a place where fans are passionate etc.

I agree.

This "sweep it under the rug" mentality regarding attendance is worrisome.

I don't think anyone (at least not this guy) is sweeping anything under the rug. I just think it's not an issue after two home games and we won't have a read on it until much later in the season. I just don't see the point of these threads right now.

ETA: three home games
