Bama gets help in that they are playing a down Tenn. every year and you guys are with Fla. Historically, Tenn is a better program and that "should" be a difficult game.
Miss. State is a joke, and they apparently don't belong in the top 25; when you beat them, they won't be

Atl. I want u to be right. Where and when might we get our due for this improbable schedule? Bama gets a big 10 lookin schedule next year for instance outside of our game against them. Even this year we were their only competition thus far. Extremely unfair as I see it

Can't be mad at bama for the schedule, CLM makes the schedule as far as non conference games go!!!!! I think LSU gets props for there schedule!!!!! Once again they or the highest 2 lost team in the BCS n if they could've won 1 of the 2 games they lost they might be in the top 4!!!!!!!!! U personally like that LSU plays the schedules they do!!!!! LSU will be fine now n the future, besides they just have to take care of what they can n everything else will play out

When did we decide to start crying about our schedule?

LSU is in a terrible position when it comes to scheduling.
The schedule was just revamped when A&M and Mo. came into the league.
Instead of correcting the schedule that pitted LSU against the best SECE team of the decade each year while our chief rival plays one of the bottom three each year; they decided to keep the status quo.
Moreover when they decided on how to handle the rotation with the opposite league, the somehow let a team who already has a relatively easy Eastern opponent play another weak Eastern opponent in Missouri.
And then to top it all off they decide to change the schedule again, keeping permanent opponents the same but piutting LSU against another East beast (Ga.) and letting bama play Ky.
LSU isn't playing on a level playing field and there is no impetus to change.
Do you think Bam want to lose Tenn as a permanent opponent. Auburn lose Ga. MSU lose Ky? OM lose Vandy? Ark lose SC????
Nobody wants to lose what they have now and pick up Florida.

Unlike some people, I don't think LSU has won enough SEC championships. While a tougher schedule may help you in the BCS championship, a tougher schedule does not help you win the SEC championship. It only increases the risk of injury and loss.
That being said, I have long favored a more balanced schedule. I don't like the fact that LSU did not play Peyton Manning in his 4 years at Tennessee. With 14 members in the conference, we still would not necessarily play against Peyton in a 4 year span even if we went to 9 conference games.
I would prefer to improve our out of conference games to deal with the BCS issue and have a fair chance at the conference championship.

The scheduling thing should make LSU sniff the Big 12, we are getting royally screwed.

From what I understand, both LSU and UF were interested in ending the permanent opponent situation, but were overruled.
Mizzou is in the SEC east because Bama wanted it. It's that simple. UGA was supposed to be on Bama's schedule for 2013, but they got dropped in favor of Kentucky, then they somehow ended up on LSU's schedule. For the 2nd year in a row, Bama will avoid playing all of the top 3 teams in the eastern division, yet LSU has to play 2 of the 3. How the hell can the SEC say this is fair?
It makes me wonder if Alleva is even speaking up on LSU's behalf.

id much rather play a tougher schedule....especially with the playoff system coming up. i dont want to play bull shite cup cakes every week, boring as frick.
Even if we would have beat florida this year, it doesnt change the fact that we did not beat bama so no championship anyway. It all boils down to the bama game....we beat bama, regardless of what we do with florida, we go to the ship. plain and simple.

Why? Under the new system, one extra loss can mean you get left out.
Bama's not gonna risk it, so why should we?
