I think it is all but a done deal. His mom was the question mark going into this weekend, but we got her here, she was able to see the environment, get her questions answered by Miles and the staff, and (you can thank Lewis Neal) she seemed to feel comfortable about her son being that far from home.

Just an honest question so don't flame, but do UF's ppl like their chances as well or are the LSU insiders appearing to be much more confident?

I would think he would at the least see significant playing time as a true freshman

Doubtful.

If Logan goes pro (which I'm unsure of right now), that leaves us with just Freak and Ego as players with any significant experience. Behind them, all there will be is RS Soph Mickey Johnson and Quentin Thomas.

So yes, I think Gilmore has a chance to see a good bit of playing time his first year, along with the other freshman DTs we are bringing in

Damn Les introduces the parents to his wife? I bet he doesn't do that for every recruit. Reading her tweet makes me feel much better. Is he an EE?

The link says 4 p.m. Central Time, not 3...which is correct?

5 PM Eastern / 4 PM Central is correct. ESPN just updated their link. I live in PA, so that's about it on tv/radio for recruiting chat and i usually watch that program.

Gilmore on commitment of LaCouture

quote:

“I’m going to compete,” Gilmore said. “I’m glad Christian committed. He’s a great player. But everybody’s got to eat. If I’m there, I’ll compete, and I’ll play my way onto the field.”

That is the attitude we need and want at LSU

(didn't link bc premium)

Those are the ones that become great players, not the ones that just think they are gifted starting spots on a team
