Wow I couldn't have expected much more from a poster with a name like this.

You're brain dead and obviously were watching a different game. Mett threw for 300 yards and completed 70% of his passes, if that isn't an elite performance for a qb in a run first offense I don't know when any qb will "arrive" for coach miles

If we had a rematch this year we'd destroy Bama. The best team lost. Bama better hope the stars don't align.

He also did this against the number one defense in the nation.

I'm not saying McCarron isn't a good QB but Mett outplayed McCarron.

Yes Mett destroyed Bama with yards but LSU/Mett did not finish drives. Points were left on the field.

Yes, missed field goal, fake field goal, stupid Warecat. GTFO with that. Not in Metts control.

It's all about offensive identity and discipline. LSU's inconsistency on offense is getting old. I understand they moved the ball well against the bama defense, but missed opportunities due to bad penalties and plays cause a lack in confidence and results in losing close games against good opponents.

Really? AJ has played like crap in two of our three games against him. On nov.5th he was less than 50% passing and a crucial int that let LSU tie the game. He isn't great but he rarely makes a mistake.

He is a championship QB. He had a flawless game on 1/9, and made championship plays on 11/3. Saban and Miles have terribly different styles, personalities and philosophies, but Saban's only true advantage has been his ability in the last several years to recruit/retain composed, championship level QB's. Mett might get there, but Saban's QB have already arrived. It is as simple as that folks. Switch QB's and the results of the last two meeting change. McCarron is a GREAT college QB, and will probably be a solid Pro also. It's all about McCarron...Let's pray he goes Pro after this year.

Wrong. I hope he stays.

Finally, someone who gets it. No one said anything about Mett. The point is that when it counted most, McCarron came through. He is a champion. Period. Give me McCarron 100 our 100 times with our team, and LSU would be unbeatable. Period. Mett out played McCarron statistically for sure, but not when it really really mattered. That is what championship QB's do. They find a way when it really really matters. I am a fan of Mett. This is not about Mett. This is about McCarron, thus the titles "It's all about McCarron".

Screw McCarron. I don't care about McCarron. He's not on my team.

I'll give him credit, he is a very good QB.

After that, I don't give 2 craps about McCarron.

Not sure what you were trying to accomplish by posting this on the Tiger rant.

Do you really think Alabama played their A game?
Sure LSU helped Alabama looked bad, but Alabama made mistakes too like the two unforced fumbles and all the missed tackles and mental mistakes that the defense made. LSU brought their A game, and still for whatever reason lost to Alabama's B- game.

I saw Bama player quotes talking about how this game was circled before the year started. They brought the best they could bring. Tiger Stadium tends to have a weird effect on people and their decision making.

You don't think LSU had mental mistakes? We had seven penalties to their ONE. We had a 15-yard late hit penalty after a huge run that killed a drive for us. We had a false start coming out of a five-minute timeout.

We attempted a 54-yard field goal...we faked another one on 4th and 12 to throw it to the kicker. We missed another FG. We went on 4th and 1 with our RB at QB and got stuffed. We had mental coaching and playing errors. Don't forget about the missed tackles on Bama's last offensive play - the TD. And LSU dropped a number of balls in the first half before seriously picking it up in the 2nd half.

Sure LSU looked great in the second half but don't act like you didn't get Alabama help.

LSU didn't help Alabama?

Not a chance. We would lose all 3 with him. I hope he comes back. I want him to cry for real next year as we make him regret returning and hurt his draft position if he even gets drafted.

That's a stupid sentence. McCarron is a good, smart player and he did come through when it mattered.

Mett came through basically the whole game and shredded Bama's D for the most passing yards in like five years. It was on LSU's D to finish it this night when LSU held the ball for almost 40 minutes. They should have been well rested.

Mett probably could have scored again, but we chose to run three times and kick a FG before Bama's last drive. At the end we were left needing a TD with no timeouts and less than a minute and bad field position.

Why are people taking away from teh LSU secondary's performance? McCarron simply had receivers that were not open and couldn't get open until key drives. When they were open, AJ hit them.

waiting4saturday - AJ had less than 100 yards passing until we went into prevent on the last drive. Mett's destroyed "the worlds greatest defense".

See thread posted previously; LSU was not in a prevent defense on the last drive. :beatdeadhorse:
