His penalty changed the complexion of that drive after the fumble. That penalty pushed Lsu back then the fake happened.

That was one turning point

I put no blame on anyone. We played out of our minds and came up short. It hurts.

If you can't stop hating for a second to see that then you have personal problems.

We gambled and lost those gambles, but if we get them Miles gets praised. It comes with the territory.

I am not at all concerned about the future of LSU

But But But... It was Miles' fault to have him in the game anyway and he has no control over his players. If he were Nick Saban it wouldn't have happened

We have had too many stupid penalties by players all year. Miles needs to lay the law down and sit them if they do something stupid.

Players have to play with somekind of control. Look what their tackle did to Mingo. Alabama should have been flaged. Mingo did not retaliate and therefore played smart. Copeland did not. I think that did cost us the game.

I was more concerned after our last victory. I hope this team doesn't crap-out and lose one, or more, of the last three. Each win hopefully has BCS bowl implications.

I agree that of all the mistakes, the Copeland Penalty had the biggest impact on the outcome.

Copeland had done nothing stupid in the game prior to that play...

Refs were biased. Should have let Copelands go. They sure were quiet when Bama held or played cheap.

I just mean the unnecessary penalties like personal fouls that have occurred.

This all day long.

Am I pissed JC did that, got the flag and killed Mo - hell yes.

But two things: First, he earned his way onto that field and he gets to make mistakes. Nobody's perfect. Second, he atoned his arse off with the way he played going forward.

You speak for a lot of us with this line of thinking. We played well enough to win, Bama just played a little better when it counted. It's going to happen. Every team, in every game, win or lose, can point to a few mistakes and highlight them for whatever personal gain they get, but in the bigger picture, the coaches called a good game and the team executed exceptionally well. A few bounces here, a cut back or extra tackle there, and we are talking about who needs to lose to get us to Miami.

If this is the new Mett, I am excited for the future. Here's hoping for speedy recoveries and no more injuries!

No not this game, but it's about his 4th or 5th personal foul this year.

Copeland has received plenty of blame. Try to keep up.

That's just ridiculous.

Yes, it was a bad penalty... but it's not like it cost us points or even an opportunity for points. It was STILL first and ten with good field position... every offensive option still at our disposal.

By contrast, Miles's idiocy on the fake FG and then the 54 yarder were TRUE drive killers that resulted in ZILCH. There were ZERO options or opportunities for points after his idiocy.

Okay, but just think about the reaction from the fanbase if Les doesn't put Copeland in for the Bama game due to a personal foul in a previous game. Everyone would be calling for his head right now.

Oh and I'm sure it's also Les' fault that Hairston hit the onside kick before it went 10 yards huh? Frick it, we will bench him the rest of the year.

It absolutely cost us points, and killed momentum from the muffed punt.

Lord knows when saban was here we never had a penalty and also never gave up a late touchdown. I'm also very certain we never lost a game with saban and nobody ever bitched about him. So many of us have such short memories.
