We played good enough to win. But bama's ground game is excellent. I'm proud of the Tigers today>

Miles' dumb decisions cost us the game.

I'm over it. I'm calmed down. Yes, Miles did some dumb things, but Bama just won and made plays when they needed to.

Life goes on.

It pretty much sums up how I feel as well. I'm having trouble coming to terms with this one for this reason.

Its obviously more heartbreaking to lose a close game than lose a blowout, but all in all, there wasnt one player that a thought played a bad game yesterday for LSU. Everybody made plays and did the best they could. Occasional bad calls by Les, but no coach is going to call the right play every time.

Its sad, but I can gladly say I can move on and get ready for next week.

yeah, cause we didn't have 4 dropped passes, a stupid jr. high drive killing penalty, missed field goal, running the ball out 8 yards in the ez, etc. etc...... you're right, Miles is the only thing that cost us the game..

LSU is our life's blood. This was a really sickening loss because it was self-inflicted, but not by our great team (they played their hearts out last night), but by our coaches.

Yes Bama was good, but we were better. And no, they weren't playing "rope a dope" all second half. They were on the ropes and reeling - our D had them totally stymied. Then we changed our D for that last possession and went "soft" to prevent losing. They were good enough to regroup and take everything we gave them. And that was all it took for us to lose. Only thing is, we were playing "not to lose" which is at the heart of the whole problem.

Miles made a couple mistakes, but the man had his team ready, had a great gameplay, made perfect halftime adjustments, learned from 01/09, etc.

Proud as heck of that second half, but literally sick to my stomach.

I just hate it for the team.

Like I've been saying: now you know how other SEC teams felt in 2009 and 2010.

Games where we were routinely outplayed but won on a "big" play defensively or on special teams. The sunshine pumpers would then jump on here and say a win is a win.

Well, we just lost that way to Bama. Well, sunshine pumpers, is a loss just a loss now?

Or do moral victories count while objective criticism is ignored?

But some coaches don't string the wrong plays together into the season's most anticipated, most crucial game.

Ha, same.

I haven't felt this bad about a loss in quite some time, and that includes the title game.

With all due respect BRLawyer: Les made some decisions that I’ll bet he wishes he could have over. Neither the 54 yd fg try, the fake fg and the missed fg directly caused the loss. Loose prevent defense with no timeouts to regroup as a defensive unit cost us the game. You simply cannot play that defense against a good team as the gumps. I look forward to Saturday and how the tigers perform. I’m looking forward to see Zach again.
