Ultimate Team has been (mostly) unusable for me for a week.
Career mode has been freezing on people without response from EA for about two weeks.
Check out EA Sports FIFA facebook page, and the forums on their website.
It's fun when it works, but it's about a 50/50 shot that you'll actually get to play.

I have had no trouble finding games in h2h seasons, team play, be a pro team play, and FUT. The people I play with haven't had any problems either
