Would you actually take the ball or would you still defer?
I think for this game you take the ball to show your offense you have confidence in them and punch the motherfricker in the end zone to get the crowd into the game.....

You always defer because you don't want a team to score at the end of the first half then get the ball to start the second half. A close game can turn into a blowout very quickly like that.
