What do you feel is the most vital individual match-up this coming Saturday?

I say Barrett Jones vs. Logan/Downs/Freak.

What say you ranters?

Barrett Jones is one of the most overrated lineman I have ever seen. He is a good player, not elite. Both Logan and Freak will win the majority of battles with him. Downs is a step behind the other two and Jones will do ok against him, but he is not physically talented enough to win against the other two.

Jalen Mills against any receiver they put up against him. Bama is going to want to play action and try to hit a homerun and they are most likely going to go after Mills with it. LSU can not give up the big play if they want to beat Bama.

I also think that they'll be able to out-quick him. I haven't watched him too much, everything is by ear. Which is dangerous with the analysts these days.

It's how our DB's play against their WR's. Especially, Amari Cooper. Our run defense should be fine.

+1 Miles said at his weekly Lunch with Les that they have spent time working on technique. He said the team that plays with the best technique usually wins the game.I remember a comment by a former O-Lineman on this board who stated that Stud the Dud cut out the O-lineman working on their technique because he thought it was a waste of time. The O-lineman said one can't improve if one doesn't master the technique of the position. He also stated that Stud played favorites and that Lonergan was better than T-Bob but Stud loved T-Bob even though Lonergan was the better player. We all know how that turned out.

I don't know who Bama's ends are, but we need to shut them down like we did Clowney. That will help the run game and passing game a lot.

The most important matchup will be our receivers first their corners. They will have to beat man coverage for our offense to sustain drives.
