ESPN's view on the West (LSU and Bama) - Why even play???

We know that ESPN doesn't always view LSU all that fairly, but there are a few things that are blatantly wrong and very disrespectful:

1) On SportsCenter, Saturday night, Adnan Virk was talking about if Florida (introducing their highlight) and if they could win this weekend they would win the East "to face Bama in the SECCG"

2) On The Experts, one of the pundit said that Bama was going to the SECCG, and no other competition in the West for them, basicly

There is no mention of playing Miss State or LSU for that matter - as if it is all said and done. This is beyond a bit of unfair commentary or an opinion of an analyst.

THIS IS DOWN RIGHT MALICIOUS, DISRESPECTFUL, and APPALLING disregarding all the facts and that there are more games to play! (again knowing that ESPN doesn't shoot straight).

I hope someone on the team sees/ hears/ finds out that no one is even respecting them.

until something changes in the offense, i can't say that i blame them for picking bama to win the west.

This.... I mean look at this without purple and gold glasses. If you are a "expert" and watched this offense all year and you picked LSU you would be laughed at by your colleauges.

I haven't watched commentary on ESPN in years.
WhoTF is this person and why would you listen to he/she or it talk about football?

That is the thing, I am not looking at it through glasses. They are not even mentioning any other team and they are saying it as if Bama has won already. You don't do that when reporting the sports news, like Adnan.

I like the underdog roll, don't get me wrong. But if we win, ESPN will have no where to hide.

I'm enjoying all the negative publicity we're getting surrounding this game. It's only gonna fire our boys up. Our defense is going to be nasty that night.

I'll agree with that. But IMHO picking them to win the west and totally disregarding their remaining opponents are two different things.

Either way...

I know its hard to imagine but ask any non Bama or LSU fan what they think and literally every single sign and bits of information this season, point to Bama beating LSU and winning the West.

LSU has played 2 good teams this year. They lost one and won by 2 in the other one. Bama has scored 30+ points in every game theyve played. They have the number 1 defense in every statistical category. They are the defending national champions and the last time they faced a Les Miles LSU team, they shut them out and won by 3 TDs.

LSU is extremely fortunate to not be 4-3 after the UF, Auburn, and USC games.

Half of their wins this season are by a combined 9 points. Now a win is a win and counts the same in the standings but Alabama has literally destroyed every single team they have faced.

LSUs offense has a looong way to go if they are going to compete in that game. If you thought UFs defense made them look bad.....wait until you see Bama.
