I know most on here dont like looking ahead during the season, but I cant help but think that 2013 is shaping up to be a great season. We will have some big losses on defense, but we have been well prepared with most backups being in rotation and gaining experience. I think we will be very good in 2013. I see us being able to run the ball better than any team in the country and with some really good receivers coming in, ( AJ, Dural, Diarse) we should improve in the passing dept. Oline will be solid once again. What says the Rant?

Our defense will be the best in the country next year.

Losing alot of key defensive players. It will be tough to replace Sam, Mingo, Logan & Reid and not expect some drop off. Our offense should be better with the OL getting loads of experience and Mett with a year under his belt. If Mathieu returns it would help, but I see another 10-2, 9-3 season. We won't be terrible, thats for sure, unless Chavis leaves, then all bets are off.

If Mett doesn't go pro ( ), we'll be as good or better. He's a great talent and by next will be moving the ball up and down the field.

Unless Reid turns his season around, he probably isn't going anywhere. Not Vontaze Burfict catastrophe, but he won't go as high as he could/should based on his production.

Almost the whole secondary and LBrs come back with another year under their belt. You get back Mathieu, Faulk, and Blue and Mett has another year to improve. RBs all stay, WRs all stay, this team is looking pretty damn loaded again.

Johnson and Ferguson will be back. So that's not "entirely."

Beast of a LB corp will make up for that, IMO.

from reading the rant the last few days LSU should probably just cancel the season next year.

Miles will find some way to lose more games than they play

THIS EXACTLY!

With the group that came in last year LSU is preparing to go to war with the Bama running game the next 3-4 years and so forth.

The offense should be better next year. Throw in Leslie, and they could actually be productive on a consistent basis.

Loaded, as usual.

Road games at Bama and UGA will be tough, and we get A&M and UF at home, plus TCU.

Just imagine if Minter, Simon, and Reid stayed, plus maybe getting Mathieu back. We would be stacked.

Neither start, though. So more than likely, all 4 starters on the DL will be gone.

After Ego and Freak, who do we have a DT?

We will lose too much on D to make a championship run, IMHO.

Mingo, Montgomery, Edwards, Logan, Reid, and possibly Minter and Simon.....gone.
