Which "key" OFFENSIVE players might LSU lose after the 2012-2013 season?

Other than Dworacyvk and Alex Hurst on the O line, I'm guessing most of the starters and critical reserves will return. QBs, RBs, and WRs will return, I think. I heard that Ware and Ford wanted to turn pro after this season, but currently their output would probably not get them drafted.

Defensive returns should be a differ thread.

Lonergan will be the biggest loss from the current lineup. We'll lose a RB or two, but we're fine there.

ETA: We're also losing Clement. Don't think he's "key", though.

But the upside of Porter is great.

Clement is a hell of a run blocker.

Ware and lonergan. Shepard is no loss at all. Clement is a good run blocker but with desean smith coming in nobody will miss clement

Lonergan of course. Other than that there's one or two RB's (where we'll be just fine at), Shep, and uhh... yeah.

ETA: I thought about adding Clement but couldn't remember if he was a senior or not till the last post. He'll probably be a bigger loss than Shep just because he can block, sadly...

Blue, I understand, plans to stay and graduate. He said himself that he knows he needs an education to fall back on WHEN football is not available.

As for Ware, he WANTS to turn pro, but I don't think he would be drafted this year based on his performance. Ditto for Ford.

How many people seriously think Ware and/or Ford will try to turn pro after this season?

The bad thing is with the way we split carries so much I dont think any of them will get drafted after next year unless they shine at pro day.

PS How did you end up in De fricking Ridder after being a stony brook grad?

As of now we don't have any RB commitments for this signing class. If we lose for example Ware, is anyone else concerned about RB depth? Hill, Hillard, Ford, and Blue have ALL-SEC talent, but 4 RBs on is enough assuming we don't have a repeat of 2009 where all our RBs get hurt.

Good blocker but we've got 5 other TEs on the roster who block well too. Nic Jacobs will be an upgrade passing game wise assuming he continues to develop.

Lonergan and that's it really.

All OL will return including Faulk at LT. So 4/5 OL starters, Mett, all RBs (maybe Ford leaves?), Copeland, all useful WRs and Clement is easily replaceable with Jacobs.

Defensively it could be a bit uglier, especially if Mathieu doesn't come back and we lose Minter, Montgomery, Mingo, Reid and possibly Logan.

Getting off the thread topic to answer a question....

Born and raised in DeRidder. Some of my classmates played at LSU (Michael Mayes, DB in FB; Johnny Jones, PG and now HBBC; Wayne Sims, F in BB). Lots of family of friends are LSU graduates.

My 3.5 year undergraduate degree was from Louisiana's own fine private school, Centenary College (Go Gentlemen and Ladies!).

Stony Brook (back when their mascot was "Patriots") is where I attended graduate school for many years. I returned home for some family issues and to teach at NSULA while working on my dissertation.

In case any readers are wondering, when LSU played Stony Brook a few months ago in the Super Regional, I was pulling for the Tigers.

Well now that we've got the resume part of the interview out of the way, let's get back to foobawl.
