for those of you at the game, was the wind really that bad? His passes seemed too flat. Several WR's were wide open, and if there was any loft to the throws, we should have seen more completions.

The wind was pretty bad. Most of his overthrows were thrown with the wind.

Seemed to me that he was overcompensating for the wind on some throws. Some of his throws reminded me of Favre's deep throws.

I'm optimistic that he connects on those plays in the next game

at least we haven't given up on the passing game and seem to be trying to improve. The 3 step drops seem to allow for more passes being batted down, especially those thrown towards the flats. I guess that the coaches want to avoid deeper drops due to poor protection.

Seems like on his passes of 20+ yards he has a tendency to throw a very flat trajectory that requires great accuracy, as opposed to a more lofted ball that gives his receivers a chance to run under it.

Go back and watch his throwing motion. On short to intermediate passes he actually throws the ball downward. On longer passes he tends to overthrow wide open receivers and when he hits them in the hands they drop the ball. Once in a while they connect but none of it is fun to watch.
