Their presence in the vitner business has grown with each passing year.

So do you drink it or recomend it?

Both. I am a very much a Francophile appreciator of wines, it was them that gave the LOVE (no whites please unless as a part of a recipe) for wines it started long ago and I was able to impress the wife and friends with the pairings that I can produce between food and wines. If I was in charge the praise was a bit high, and I am not blowing my horn. If you can find it a bottle of Chateau de Beycheval from Bourdeaux will kick arse.

Wife and friends like it, not a wine drinker myself but they seem to approve of KJ.

look I sell wine for a living, if I am going to buy a reserve wine it wont be KJ and I sell KJ...... any Mondavi Napa wine would beat that, or most Coppolas too.....ask me if you want any professional opinions (just means I have a little more of a clue than you, but not much)......

Ok. I'll ask you.
Recommend a good Sangiovese and a good California red blend. $25-$50.

OTIS, I am a Cab drinker, and its hard to beat the Franciscan Cab, or Simi and Benziger for everyday drinking wines.....big bold wines.....

Simi is a very good mid week choice. Zins?
Posted on 10/17/12 at 7:48 pm to OTIS2
i agree but Chalk Hill is so tight that it is allocated and I couldnt even buy it for myself if I wanted....... so basically to me it doesnt exist....LOL

Red Zins have become much more popular lately....the St Francis $17 and Gnarly Head $12 are very good, but M Goode Liars Dice $18 is amazing if you find some.......... I went to Simi a few years ago, pretty cool seeing their production facilities

Now, I have to confess...when I taste what I like, I've yet to taste leather, dirt, etc.
Posted on 10/17/12 at 7:56 pm to fleaux
I've had all but the M Good LD. I'll look for it. Zins are my favorite ...I'm low, low class...
