Where do you rank the USCe game in terms of greatness?

It had a 07 vibe to it. Definitely one of the most entertaining and outstanding games we have played in the last several years. I may be in the minority here, but I think I enjoyed it more then any game last year. I definitely think it will go down as a tiger classic. AU and Oregon were very fun last year, but these guys played as a team with determination. Arky and Georgia last year just was not the same and GOTC was a snoozer honestly.
This team reminds me of the 07 team. I am not talking O/D/ST. I am talking the bond and gamesmanship I see forming. 07 had better passing, but this D I think is better. But the personality is the same. I know it was only one game but it felt very much like AU game of 07.
This team is going to be special! I see an eye forming!

I'm only 23, and have been following the Tigers since 96, so I can't really name some of the classics that came before my time. Moreover, I didn't get to go to a game until my junior year of HS in 2005 for the Auburn game. But, I will say that the atmosphere was as hostile as I've ever experienced. It rivaled that of 2007 Florida, 2007 Auburn, 2007 Arkansas, 2008 Bama, 2009 Florida, 2010 Bama and 2011 Arkansas.

Been to every home game since 2002. '03 UGA is still my top game. UF 07 is right behind it.
I would rank the crowd that was actually there in the same class as '10, '08 Bama, and a few of the '07 games against Auburn, Arky.
I believe that it would be up there with the first two games if more people would have shown up.
If the tigers win against A&M and play well against Bama expect Death Valley to become like earthquake game and USC game in '79.
CAN'T WAIT!

I'd definitely rank it in the top thirty LSU games I've ever seen.

My top 5 all time greatest TS games
5. 1997 LSU vs Florida
4. 2003 LSU vs Georgia
3. 2010 LSU vs Bama
2. 2012 LSU vs South Carolina
1. 2007 LSU vs Florida
Honorable Mention 2007 LSU vs Auburn
Strictly by games that I saw live, not counting out The earthquake game, or the USCw game because although I have watched both, I don't remember watching either live, although I was a young kid when the earthquake game happened...
This years USCe game just had that feel to it and you knew it was something magical watching it, I never doubted the tigers the whole game! You could see that look in Les miles eye before the game, you knew it was about to be something special!

Haven't made many games over the years, so this was easily #2 for me...behind only '79 USC game.
Both atmospheres were electric, but different in that very few gave the Tigahs a chance against the mighty Trojans.
There was no doubt to me on Saturdy night that if LSU was focused, the game would go like it did-closer than it should have been.

You'd put this past game over '97 Florida?
I can't imagine what it would have been like to be there.

Wouldn't that be cool if someone photoshopped a purple and gold hurricane from above with the eye of the storm being the mid field tiger eye?

Well although that game was one of the greatest ever, the reason I think this game was so special because LSU has been reeling so bad and to come back home after a huge loss to FL and put on this performance, I think it put it over the top for me!
ETA: Although I put a top 5, there isn't much of a gap in between these games for me in which I think they were all just as good/big as the next!

I believe so too. The Tigers were backed into a corner and responded well. First game I went to in a while the majority of the crowd got there early and stayed to the end.

This team has lacked that 2007 vibe but maybe this SC win does ignite something. It's had a more 2004/2009 vibe. But yeah the stadium was fun but not quite like 2007 Florida.

Entertaining, yeah. classic, not in my opinion. The game had the feeling of games of the 05-06' seasons where we thoroughly outplayed the opponent, but allowed them to stick around for too long. 3 times inside their 5 only to get 3 FGs and trip to their 15 that came up empty.
