1. The fans was totally with the team
2. The offense looked confident and pumped
3. The offensive players showed commitment to protect the QB with great prolonged blocks
4. The defense looked fresh till the end.
5. No fumbles and reduced penalties
6. Improved play calling on the offense - finally Les

Still need to work on:
1. Redzone offense - need to be confident going in
2. Redzone defense - We have none right now. Mostly because opponents are able to get into the 5 yards with 4 downs left.
3. Passing - Mett need to improve general accuracy/speed and redzone throwing. His passes hardly have any air so they need to be more accurate.

Except when certain fans boo'd the play calling inside the 5, resulting in FG attempts.

That was actually surprising when Miles changed the play after the boos to go for it on 4th and 1.

Les was right all along too. It was the same game plan minus the drops and mistakes. Execution is the difference between winning and losing

I am sure Les took everything posted on the rant and incorporated it into the gameplan. That made the difference.

It's smart to look at the LSU boards for free advice.

No joke. And after a penalty pushed us back to the 6.

But in those particular fans' minds, everywhere on the opponent's side of the field is 4 down territory.

Right. There is no substitute for execution.

Reduced penalties and turnovers.
Cohesion and aggression on the offensive line.

This is a little misleading. How many times have we gifted the ball to their offense inside the 10 yard line already this year?

13 trips in 7 games isn't exactly a problem. We had the same "issue" last year.

We threw on first down. That was new. Before S.C., 87 out of out 89 first down plays were Shep dive on 2.

Nobody is talking about the penalty but it was a major setback. We could have scored 7 points there with a 50/50 probability.

This. They had their best game of the year. Thought this was Mett's most "off target" game. If we get both of those working together we may find a passing offense.

against FL we were 50/50 pass run, the Rant collectively wanted us to air it out.

against USC we were 30/70 pass run.

He listens like my 3 year old.

Mett had better improve his accuracy with the blocking he had Sat. or we might get to see Rivers. Les finally through the ball to Landry which is the best receiver on the team!
