Rettig had a rough weekend going 15-41 for138 yards and three picks and Jennings had his best game of the year going 9-11 for 205 yards and 4 Tds . Jennings also rushed for 57 . I know rettig had a rough weekend but man the future looks bright at qb for the tigers

I don't put much stock in hs performance as it relates to talent but it is a bit troubling that Rettig performed so badly against by far the most talented defense he has played against. Love his tools and think he'll be fine but the step up may be bigger than some realize.

truth....very few kids are ready the moment their foot touches campus. with Rivers and Randle we have a qb progression in place so Rettig and Jennings can have the luxury to learn and grow.

I hope.

81-19...82-19...dare I say it, 83-19!

If you watch any of his games(Rettig, what jumps out is his passing ability while under duress. He has no O-line, and has to throw from weird angles, and falling backwards. A good Defensive secondary will challenge his or anyone's accuracy, in that environment. Not worried about him. Been more worried about him sticking to LSU, because others see how good he is and want to poach him from us....this kid is good and has the moxy to compete.

I was at the Boston College - Florida State games last night. I hope Hayden Rettig is as tough as his brother. Chase Rettig took an absolutely beating and got up time after time and continued to stand in the pocket and take hits.

The team he played is always very good Serra of Gardena. The two starting WR from USC ( Lee, Woods) and one back up (Farmer) went there. Each year they have D-1 talent. Quite frankly Rettig's team was over matched. I did not make it to the game but my buddy called me and said he had several dropped passes that should have been caught, he was under pressure all night, one int was a tip and the other the WR broke off his route. The last int was a bad decision. this week is not any way a reflection of his talent. Despite the loss my buddy said Rettig was supportive of his teammates and played hard the entire game.
