"I don't know if he got hit in the head tonight or not," Spurrier said of Shaw. "Some of his decision-making was a little off. ... Connor has played beautifully all year. He had some good plays tonight but he wasn't as sharp as he's been."

Wow. That'll build his confidence for a potential SEC Championship game. Couldn't the crowd noise and defense have had something to do with it?

He totally threw Shaw under the bus on that interview. I was like "WOW".

Yeah, he basically took target practice on him and dropped turd after turd on Shaw's face.

Spurrier doesn't build confidence; he builds character. He applies pressure, and it either hardens or crushes the kids. Then he plays the former ones. What an exceptional coach! He turned Duke from crap to good, turned Florida from good to great, and now he's turned USC from mediocre to very good. He's a nut job, though. That clip they kept showing of him on the sidelines last night fumbling with his headset wa a classic.

Spurrier is just telling like it is.

Political correctness is not his forte

The Ole Ball Coach style is actually a breadth of fresh air. He is unfiltered and says what he thinks instead of most coaches who either 1) respond with predictable coach-speak cliches or 2) are cloaked...speaking in riddles where you can't understand what the heck he just said (Miles) unless they just won where they don't have to be as guarded as to what they have to say.
