And im fricking furious.
How is prescribing a 4 year old amphetamine considered responsible medical practice? I'm tempted to beat my brother's arse for even allowing it but at the end of the day it's not my decision.
What would your reaction be?

If I were him I would wait it out considering her brain is still developing and try other methods to cure whatever they feel is the issue. Maybe she's just really bored.

A kid in kindergarten was on it last year. Broke my freaking heart. Very active kid before. Always getting in trouble. Gets Meds halfway through the year and turned into a zombie. Just sat in her desk staring at nothing. No personality at all. Sleepwalking almost. I'd try everything under the sun before I put my kid on Meds.

Really stupid that someone would allow their 4-year-old to be put on amphetamines. I was diagnosed ADHD when I was 5 and my parents refused to consider medication until I was in college.

Their reasoning is that she won't sit still and pay attention in class....
SHE'S IN frickING PRESCHOOL FOR frickS SAKE.... Theyre not supposed to sit still theyre fricking four!

my nephew's teachers want him to be on adhd medicine. he is 6. fricking ridiculous. thankfully my sister is smart enough to not do it

Yeah, maybe even try some herbal treatments first, or pay attention to what they feed her in the mornings. Maybe wake her up earlier and let her run around outside. There's plenty of options available before sticking her on amphetamines. Oh and I take an ADD medication myself...

My son is on it.
He is 10. I was dead against it. However his grades and then his confidence did a 180.
He went from C's and D's and F's. Now all A'sand B's
Has she been evaluated?

The mom bears the most fault in my opinion although my brother is just as guilty for not standing up. I just found out and I'm completely beside myself. No one else understands my objection..... At this rate I probably won't be invited to thanksgiving......
