When it is all said and done for these two (Coaching), which one will go down as have being the most dominant coach of his football era and respective league?

Saban: 3 National Titles

151–54–1 (college)
15–17 (NFL)
7-6 (bowls)

Belichick: 5x Super Bowl Champ (2 as an Assistant)

Regular season 175–97–0 (.643)
Postseason 17–7 (.708)
Career record 192–104–0 (.649)

Saban

He's getting at least 2 more titles before it's all said & done. The hoodie will be getting none.

Idk about this one yet. It is amazing how the Pats are able to continue to reinvent the wheel when it comes to his offense. Bringing McDaniels back was huge and should not be underestimated. They picked Denver apart and controlled most of the game against the Ravens.

Define era for CFB?

Belichick has been to been to 5 Super Bowls through a playoff process in a tougher medium with greater parity that doesn't use "eyeball test" or bias.

I don't really see how this would be close. Saban has 3 Conference Championships and 3 BCS Titles in 12 years as a CFB coach. Do we mention his pro stint?

Belichick will go own as one of the 5 greatest coaches in NFL history. Saban won't go down as one of the 10 greatest coaches in college football history.

Belichick IMO. Parity and playoffs make coaching in the NFL much harder than college.

Initally, I only wanted to keep it towards the league each dominated but I do think you have to include his pro stint. With that being said, by CFB era I mean since the formation of the BCS system.

How can you say this?

He could easily coach for another 10 years and win 2 NC's and 3 SEC Titles (at least). So that would give him 5 national titles and 7 conference titles, all while playing in the toughest conference in the history of college football.

I'll play devil's advocate here and raise you the common thought that Saban coaches in the conference that is considered to have the most parity across College Football.

yeah.....but its not the NFL.

Saban couldn't get all the advantages over the competition that he could in college, so he went running back
