Just put up my hunting dog pic. I've had him running around in the deks with ducks trying to land so i'd say no.

Black. Anything else is a crapshoot. There are some great yellows and chocolates, but when you select for recessive genes, something else has to fall by the wayside. Sometimes that's hunting ability.

Like I said, there are some great yellows and chocolates. But it's a recessive gene. If you're selecting for color, you're not selecting for something else. If you want the best chance of a dog with ability. always bet on black.
