When the New Orleans Hornets played the Charlotte Bobcats at the New Orleans Arena Tuesday night, injured shooting guard Eric Gordon appeared to be a no-show for the game.

He was not seen seated on the bench with his teammates or seen in the locker room before or after the game. But New Orleans Hornets Coach Monty Williams clarified the situation after Wednesday's practice, saying he granted Gordon permission to not be on the bench so he could undergo treatment.

Gordon has missed the Hornets' first two preseason game and has not participated in practices because of a sore right knee that’s expected to keep him sidelined for at least another week.

I did notice that Ole' Lemonhead wasn't there. Just figured he was being a little bitch.

I'm sure he was getting treatment...while he watched a Suns game on NBATV and cried.

Is that how this is done?

I don't understand why they scheduled a treatment during those exact 3 hours, and not do it before or after. Not like he's doing anything else during the day

Not really hating, but that's a lame excuse for a home game. Traveling, sure, but at home....

Honestly, there was no room left on the bench, every seat was taken up.

But Jason Smith was there, sitting on a giant pad and wincing. So...

I wonder if he doesn't have some anxiety issues and couldn't handle the pressure of being courtside with everyone staring at him. He's never been comfortable dealing with the media and fans to the point that the Clippers had to really push him to do events and interviews. Either that or his knee is much worse than they are letting on.

I think the dude's kind of a bitch, but maybe he's getting treatment somewhere other than NOLA.

But, but, but, Gordon is a bitch and is going to milk any injuries because he hates it here, right?

Because he's putting in extra work to try to get himself 100% ready for the start of the season?

You people are ridiculous with this Gordon hate.

Nah, it is pretty justified. He's been a complete PR disaster from the very moment of being traded here. I don't hate him, but I can see why others would.

For this I don't blame him, he's rehabbing he doesn't need to be at the game I guess.
