On the bright side however, the future of US cycling looks promising. TJ continues to improve and may move into the ranks of TDF champions and Taylor Phinney should become a 'classics' force. Both are very young with tons of potential.

But are the young guns crafty like Lance and the old guard? I'm impressed that they could pull this shite off for so long. Maybe I shouldn't be since they were just fooling the dumarse arrogant Frogs.

Maybe that type of "crafty" is no longer needed or wanted. Yea I know, being naive.

Lance was an exceptionally talented cyclist in an era of rampant doping.

He is the Barry Bonds of the peloton, plain and simple.

Wouldnt it level the playing field if you let them all dope? Then the best would still rise to the top.. just sayin

WHO frickING CARES?!

NASCAR soups up their cars and get busted (and keep racing)

Baseball bats routinely break open exposing cork inside and baseball are scuffed with sandpaper hidden in gloves. (oh and those players keep on playing)

cyclist pop pills and draw their own blood to put back in later when their immune system is worn down after 6 months of elite racing all over the world.

LANCE NEVER FAILED A DRUG TEST.

MORE CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE shite.

GEORGE HINCAPIE HEARD LANCE ASK FOR A COAT HANGER OMFG@PLJGPOI@POI!!SZZ!!111111!!! OHNOES@!!!@

haters gonna hate. lance played the same game as everyone else and WON.

no failed drug tests.

now USADA is all up on their high horse because so and so saw so and so do something or the other and it must mean lance is too.

NO FAILED DRUG TESTS

frick TYGART AND frick USADA

One thing that mystified me was, how could the prosecutors not prove their case, but Tygart can?

because its all CIRCUMSTANTIAL. no actual evidence of seeing him dope..lots of "he asked me for a coat hanger" and "i heard him say he wanted 'juice'" etc etc

government couldn't bring that shite to court because it wouldn't stick.

usada/tygart is running his little one man ego-show and abused (and irrevocably damaged) his agency's reputation on this witch hunt.

i pray uci laughs at usada and allows lance to keep his tdf wins. that would be awesome.

Has Lance said anything yet?
Might as well just deny it to death, because he's going to look like a fricking fool if finally admits to it after fighting so hard against the allegations all these years.

That's so strange. I figured he was getting his stuff from the local piggly wiggly and sticking himself with syringes in plain view of TV cameras.

To be fair, you can convict somebody on circumstantial evidence. There isn't always a smoking gun, homeboy.

apparently not because the government dropped the case completely last year after dogging lance for several years.

must have been some pretty weak evidence aka george hincapie 'he asked me for a coat hanger' or hamilton 'i bet he did because we all did'.

Have you read any of the report? All of those guys personally took EPO, transfusions, and cortisone pills with Lance in the same room together. Lance also personally supplied EPO to Big George. The testimony is overwhemling,

It's also clear that Ferrari had a solid system for beating the weak EPO tests that existed at the time. There was no out of competition testing and they would sleep in altitude tents during the races to mask the EPO use

You have made it clear that you understand barely anything about the sport. How are you in a position to make any sort of judgement on how athletic the best of the sport is compared to the best of other sports?

holy shite that's half the current garmin-sharp team and their manager. i wonder if vande velde is stripped of his us pro cycling challenge championship from this year? or was this for stuff on the us postal team?

Bjarne Riis was not stripped of his 1996 Tour despite confessing his sins.

so why drop the case after spending millions of taxpayer dollars given your track record of securing prior high profile convictions of flojo and bonds?

look of course he doped as did everyone else.

he wasn't caught. period.

stupid to go back now and try to penalize one person out of a freaking ocean of cheating cyclists.

how is this different than any other sport? everyone cheats. its how you win.

Jonathan Vaughters talks about all of this stuff in his recent articles and posts on the cycling.com message board.

No no, this point isn't arguable, homeboy. You most certainly can.

Perhaps this is an appropriate place to remind you that not all circumstantial evidence is created equal.
