In a legitimate match, no one could stand against Lew Thesz, World Champion for over 10 yrs.

Rick Rude is the greatest heel ever in my eyes. Hes on my list. So is:

Sting
Macho Man
Vader
Jericho
Bret Hart
Steiner Bros
Morttis/Kanyon (when he was still a badass)
Christian
Flair
The Outsiders

ETA: As far as current ones go, AJ Styles is amazing to watch.

Can you count The Outsiders as one heel? If so they are the best ever bar none.

Sure you can. But alot of people cheered them for that reason, so they werent necessarily the biggest heels. Nwo as a whole was like that.

Everyone booed Rude. His pre match promo got everyone hook line and sinker.

Chris Benoit (circa wcw days best of 7 with booker)
DX
The Texas Tornado
New Jack
Jake the Snake Roberts
Stone Cold Steve Austin

looking back over the entire time when I watched wrestling I would have to add Rick Flair to that list just never appreciated it as a kid.

I know exactly who you're talking about. He would rise out of the entryway, surrounded by fire, holding a goblet and wearing a white shirt, while smiling, showing off his fangs.

Then Edge and Christian joined him and formed the Brood.
