Besides not getting a ridiculous amount of penalties. What can we do to neutralize their rush?

-The loss of JC
-Lack of consistency/discipline
-sluggish starts in games

The last two games we have been getting smacked in the mouth in the trenches. So what plays, formations and personnel do we leave in to help with protection?

Any other concerns or stipulations rant?

Help with RB. Help with TE. Shotgun formations. Screen passes. Draws.

UF strength isn't ther pass rush. Watch the team play before you comment about them. Auburn has better pass rush than Florida.

PS: Florida arguably has the exact same problems as us but statistically are worse...penalties, lack of a passing game, etc.

Frankly, if we don't come out with more energy and focus next week, then its a pretty good sign the leadership on this team is non-existent.

I expect this to manifest itself with the OL play. If we're able to run the ball and pass block decently (I don't even expect to do it well), then its a sign our guys can respond. If we're struggling, the easiest way to get out of it is to win the LOS and run the ball well. The passing can come later.

Just think - we were one 80 yard Shep run last night from being under 80 yards total rushing vs F'n Towsen.

You must have our OL confused with one that can get push on other teams. Perhaps you should go back and watch our run game against Towson.

Screens, even though they would never use them. We're going to have to go to the quick pass game and use that to set up double moves down the field

Finally somebody who knows football and actually watches games. Too bad you will be the minority in this thread.

I hope the coaches will experiment with Collins at LT this week in practice. I understand the reasons they have not done so yet, but what they are doing right now doesn't appear to be working. Seems like it would be worth a try.

Take out Shepard's 78 yard run and Mettenbergers -52 and LSU averageed 5.1 ypc. Damn, our run game sucks.

They have a better performance at QB. JR was not as clumsy as ZM.

Two step drop
Pass to TE
Toss sweep
Screens
Draw play

If all else fails put in someone to run the read option...

Lael was a tackle in Hs right? Like the best in the country right?

Why not lael LT
Hurst and Josh at guard
Lonergan C

Alexander looked good to me at right

Williford looked like he had no idea he was playing o line

Another wild idea would be 4 wides and the quick slant but that play is probably not even in the playbook...
