The wife and I are ready to leave, we are both from other states and have no family to hold us here and brciocc.... We are trying to decide where we want to land. We both enjoy the outdoors and hunt as much as we can. We are looking to move and buy a farm/property, for this discussion lets say in the area of 100 to 200 acres. We are tossing around either moving to Freeport or closer to Houston. Either is possible with our jobs.

My question is where would you move too, Freeport, Seadrift, or outside houston say deerpark/La Porte if hunting and fishing were priority. Lets say Duck, Deer, and freshwater.

make sure you buy your lifetime hunting and fishing license before you move out of state...you never know when you will want to make a trip back to La.

Lake Jackson is actually a good place to live. Not far from Houston, close to the beach, good schools. I lived there when I was younger and loved it. My pops works for BASF.

Dow employees - Lake Jackson, Clute, Angleton.
Good public schools, close to gulf. Will be driving to Houston alot for shopping/entertainment. More skeeters than most would think humanly possible.
