No, Mel Kiper is an NFL guy. He has a little more objectivity than the idiots that actualy cover college football for ESPN because he's looking at talent, not politics.

I don't agree with everything Mel Kiper says, and his focus is on how players project to the NFL. However, he has never demonstrated any bias against LSU - in fact, the opposite - I think players from LSU, sometimes get a bump in their draft stock merely by being in the LSU system.

While Herbstreit (as well as Holtz) has been more consistently anti-LSU than the average analyst (we've won Corso over, to a certain degree), even Herbie was a proponent of a 2-loss LSU team being in the big game in 2007. LSU fans need to be less thin-skinned and realize that the sports news business is far more about the entertainment aspect, and giving the people what they want (i.e. controversy), rather than a deeply held bias against a particular program.

It's supposed to be about fun. If we win the games, we shut them up (or convert them). If we lose, they were right all along. Just enjoy the ride.

LSU is ESPN's stepchild, every now and again we do something that approve of.

ESPN's line of thinking: Well if LSU beat Wasgington and then in week four they beat Satndford who beat USC(the best team ever to sweat on the field) then the win with LSU becomes valid.

One of the commentators on last nights UW/Stanford game was bragging on LSU's D. Complimented LSU's talent level (specifically Mingo).

Better start passing out the Ativan!

He was on Mike&Mike earlier...talked about first year qb's playing on the road for the.first time...said lsu won, stanford did.not. He said all that matters is win baby win.

So did Phil Steele. Said that the score of the auburn game doesn't show the 300+ yards and the defense of the game. That beating Wash was legit.

Haters gonna hate.

He picked LSU to be in the Title Game this year during the off-season, so this is not surprising.

Even though I used a word that was opposite of what I meant, it was still understandable, which is all that language requires. It must be so nice to just use "correct" words all the time, huh, Catman88 (if that is your real name).
