Said he wanted to make sure about USC so he wants to take some visits.

Ranked 33rd best player in the country and the 4th best DT by Rivals.

Thought I would share that with the recruitniks here.

he had us very high at one time prior to committing to usc. good to hear the coaching staff is after some high profile guys. good that staff got him hear for carolina when more time to talk. hope we get a few more in here.

who knows, it could happen. usc may be great at recruiting great players but the greatness ends there.

Would love to have him but I have no fantasies about it happening. Even he has said it would probably take a coaching change to make him seriously think of decommiting. Here's to hoping Ole Ogre is looking to bolt. Doubtful.

LSU is #2 for him. His dad is good friends with Brick Haley. They have a great relationship. Eddie has probably kept in touch with Coach Haley even after committing to USC. Wouldn't surprise me if he flipped

The Oklahoma 247 site reported this 10 days ago:
"Justin Manning has visits set to A&M (9-28), TCU (10-5) and LSU (10-12)."

These are OV's.

His first OV was to OU for their loss to KState. He was paired up with JUCO All-American DT Toby Johnson 247's #1 overall JUCO guy. One of the OU guys that hosted them was hosted by Manning's brother, DeMarcus Granger, when he played for OU.

Yep, two four stars coming in for a game that isn't the game of the year. Have to take those two more serious than the hoard that will be there on 11/03/12.

Wonder if Brick planned this like OU DL coach Jackie Shipp must have?
Too bad he doesn't have a brother that played at LSU.
Carolina should be a good game. Crowd should be good and rowdy.

I think this is a great game for a visit, the LSU D will shine in this matchup.

You're right. I just am not gonna get excited because of a visit that was going to happen all along. Word is that the staff isn't even pressing for him at this point. I'm sure they'll lay out the red carpet for him but I'm just not getting my hopes up. I think he's the best DT we've had on the board all year, aside from Nkemdiche for those like myself that think he ends up at DT in a 4-3, so I'd love to be completely wrong.

Wow is he going to qualify academically? He must be a little slow up stairs if he actually wants to play for that guy!
