So what if we are still number 3 or 2 or even 4 in the polls. We have the go ahead win against Bama. They would have to give us the #1 ranking. Bama then gets ranked #2 or 3. You honestly think they'll send the same two schools to the NC? I mean at the end of the season if Bama and LSU are #1 and 2 they wouldn't have any other option.

I just think Bama will put up too strong of numbers for them to drop lower than 3. IMO

NO, not if top 4 are all undefeated, all have close BCS scores and LSU-BAMA game is close.

LSU-Bama will be 1 and 2 again, and absolutely will play for BCS title again.

Rest of country will boycott telecast, though.

It's just the way it will be, as long as the SEC keeps BCS winning streak going.

If Bama loses to LSU, they will likely only play 2 teams who finish in the final top 25. And they would've gone 1-1. A weak schedule didn't hurt Bama last year, but you'd think someone would notice this year.

Still early, though. A lot can change.

If we're 4 and beat Bama 1 we move up to 2 and Bama stays 1... because they're Bama

I think it is a very likely situation that neither LSU or Alabama make it to the NC game this year.

For this to happen LSU has to beat alabama.

If Alabama has just one more loss which could come in the the SEC championship game then they don't go despite being better than the two teams that do play for the crystal. Miss. St. will be undefeated when they play.

LSU has to play Fla. USC, Miss. St. and A&M and Bama and then beat the SEC East champion as well. Very realistic that LSU loses two of those.

Fla. State will likely be in it as they have a good team and a weak schedule. Oregon might only have 1 loss. And that is all it would take. Others could have a great season and replace one of those... just depends on how all that plays out.

Let's beat Towson first, then Florida, then USC, then aTm.... At that point we can assess whether LSU has any shot at winning the sec West... Who knows LSU and Bama might have 2 losses by then?????

Unlikely, I agree....but UK 2007 and a FG by by UT vs Bama in 2009 say it can definately happen on any given Saturday.
