That's the only ones I've ever seen, I used to watch it years ago on PBS.

Eccleston's run isn't terrible but he doesn't really own the role in the same way that Tennant and Smith do. You could jump forward to the Smith run, which is fairly self contained if Eccleston's doesn't really grab you. If you like that go back to Eccleston's as you do kind of need it to get into the Tennant seasons.

this season's been pretty terrible. The last episode with the cubes was the best one of the year, and even then it wasn't on the level of the last few seasons.

I don't get the Eccelston Hate. Some of the best new who episodes were from season 1.

Tennant was good but the OVERUSE of the sonic screwdriver ruined the end of his tenure along with giving the Master the power of flight and the doctor jumping out of a moving spaceship, crashing through a glass ceiling, and having no injuries.

Plus if Tennant had said one more time how freaking fantastic humans were, I would have puked.

Smith has been hot garbage for the most part and the stories haven't been great.

The have used the Daleks and Cybermen more in 6 seasons than the previous 40 combined. I am sure this is a cost cutting measure but since the Daleks were wiped from all of space and time by Crazy Tennant clone, It pisses me off when the Daleks continue to show up.

I don't get all the Eccleston hate either, I actually like most of season one. Farting aliens included.....

The Tennant years are the best, but at the end I just wanted it to be over. I HATED the last special with Tennant. They dragged it out so long and I was just ready for him to regenerate.

As for Matt Smith, I liked his first season a lot. Last season was okay. So far I haven't really liked this season outside of sorta liking the first episode. I like Matt Smith but I don't like what they've been doing with the doctor this season. To me the new series in general has sucked at saying goodbye to the doctor and his companions.

I'm hopeful that this new companion will rejuvenate Matt Smith's portrayal of the Doctor but if not, maybe she will be a good bridge to the next Doctor.

I think Blink is the one I saw randomly that got me to try out the reboot.

Yeah, Blink, the Empty Child/Doctor Dances, and the Library of the Dead two parter from Tate's season are the five episodes I always show or recommend to friends if they are jumping into Dr Who to see if they like it. The second half of Eccleston's season is actually really solid, it's just the beginning that's bad because the cheese factor is so high.

I've been really disappointed with Moffat at the helm. He penned some of the best episodes of the Tenant era (Blink & The Girl In The Fireplace & Silence In The Library) so I was expecting a lot from him.

He has not lived up to my expectations. He continues to use the sonic screwdriver of lazy writing almost as much as Davies did.

I've watched all New Who. Not so much the older shows, though I know I've seen some when I was younger.

I still think I liked Tenant the most of the new Doctors, but they've all been good.

Moffat's run hasn't had "that" episode yet, like he gave Davies, but it's still been solid (I really like the 2 parter at the end of Matt Smith's first season. That last episode really showing off time travel well).

Not sure how many more episodes left of this season though, think it's a short season.

Only 5 this year. I don't know if that is 5 plus the Christmas episode or 4 plus the Christmas episode.

They are billing Saturday's episode as the half-season finally. THen we get the Christmas episode, then the rest of the season resumes (I think in Feb?).

I have a good guess at what may happen tonight since they are dealing with weeping angels.

I figured they would go back in time because of the statues. I thought they would be able to go back and raise River Song as a child.

By the way, those statues are scary! I remember the Blink episode I was really uncomfortable watching them.

One of the best hours of television I've ever seen for the genre. I put it in with the Buffy episode with "the gentlement" as far as overall creep factor and creativity.

yes, Blink was such a surprise. I think I held my breath for the whole episode
(the adult version of behind the sofa--haha)

I only saw the first episode and it didn't grab me.

I have been meaning to give it another try. It has been 5 years or so since I tried watching it. Maybe I have matured a little.

Tom Baker was the best Doctor. Ever.
