Well I've only been here a day, but people so far don't even have last.fm's to post. First thread I read here was about Sublime vs 311. So I'm assuming this board is less of a music board and more of a frat guy/cheesy music festival board.
Although that one guy said the wrens so he is okay by me.

umm, what? I didn't link directly from the site because the image on the site is way too big so I saved it and resized it. That's just stuff from the last week, not really supposed to be exemplary of everything I listen to. And I also don't always remember to turn the scrobbler on so it's not entirely accurate.

I'll admit by and large I dont care for most people on this boards taste in music... Its not a big deal, people like what they like and thats that...
But there are some that I look for their posts... sometimes for good banter about music, but every now and then you get turned on to something new...
Though, sometimes I click on a thread and think Ive been living under a rock, because I have no clue what band or genre of music the posters are talking about...

That's pretty much my take. I guess it gets annoying to me when there's THAT guy who comes off thinking they're superior b/c of their musical taste but when you take a deeper look at their's, the triteness comes through very clear. If I had to guess, THAT guy is mid 20's, probably just discovered non-pop/radio music 5-7 years ago and now he feels this deep appreciation has enlightened him to the point where they have this bombastic, grandiose attitude to people who do not share similar tastes but all it's really doing is attempting to mask self-insecurities. You know THAT guy.
