| Weekly Unemployment @ 382k (Posted on 9/20/12 at 7:33 am)
8 More of these reports before the election. Chances any of them get below 350k? Oh and of course it was "Higher than expected" They were thinking 370-375k

The MSM will probably give this one a glance, if any of them start to look better though it'll get nonstop attention for weeks.

These unemployment numbers are irrelevant now. It is a couple of months until the election. Unemployment is what it is and is not gonna change a whole hell of a lot before the election. People are not sitting around thinking, hmm if the weekly jobs number is 375k I vote one way and if 350k the other.

So you think... Remember the drop from the high 8's to 8.1 inside of one report. You don't think the data can be manipulated to get the Oct report into the 7s? You underestimate this admin

This The rate will continue to drop as more fall off the rolls but that will be the only movement

Weekly Unemployment could be 5 million and nobody in the media would hold him accountable.

I'm just glad I wasn't among the 382k people that had their lives turned upside down last week.

I don't buy any manipulation or conspiracy theories. I think the numbers are what they are and at this point are not going to change a lot or sway anyone either way.

This will be swept under the rug. Fox radio gave it a 5 second mention on their top of the hour update and even threw in that it was down from last week. This would be the non-stop headline if it was an R in the WH.

There's been a conspiracy, and that's the proper word, to hide the true unemployment figures from the American public since the Clinton administration. Manipulation is another matter and I don't have any insight there.

It's sad that as I type this, it is already on the 2nd page. Are we just used to the bad news, the malaise? The lefties on this board are well aware of obama's failure but they don't care and can't defend it. At this point their tactic is to turn it into a popularity contest because for most of them their allegience is based on the image they think they project when they let others know who they support. 385k people lost their job last week. Think about that.
