I'm certain it's going to be great, but that trailer had a rather cartoonish feel to it.

It's a no-brainer. The Hobbit the book was great and Peter Jackson proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can successfully pull off these movies. The Lord of the Rings movies were among the greatest movies ever made. This will be awesome!

The Hobbit was a much "lighter" book in overall tone from LOTR. I suspect the films will reflect this.

Great trailer but I do wish the Tolkien movies could have been made in chronological order.

You can't get everything you want in life. If that's the most we can complain about then we are in pretty good shape

I've read where Peter Jackson will make the movie a little darker than the books.

I'm interested to see what the breaking points are going to be in the films. The trilogy was easy because it mirrored the books, but here Jackson has to come up with his own breaking points. We'll see how he does.

Still avoiding trailers...
