Sometimes I feel like I dig the Jerry Garcia Band more than the Grateful Dead

Jerry Garcia Band-Live Capitol Theater 3.1.1980
Setlist:
Sugaree
Catfish John
How Sweet It Is
Simple Twist of Fate
Sitting in Limbo
That's Alright Mama
E: Deal

Oysterhead is another good one. For those who don't know it is Les Claypool (Primus) on bass, Stewart Copeland (The Police) on drums, and Trey Anastasio (Phish) on guitar. Weird, but good stuff mon.
2001-10-27 - Hollywood Palladium

Derek Trucks Band. Some may debate this as a side project, but let's face it- The Allman Brothers are Derek's primary focus

Jgb tends to be too slow for me. I have to be in the mood for it.

Oysterhead is awesome and ive seen them a bunch live.

Les claypools flying frog brigade and all their off shoots were awesome while they were around.

Ive really been into chris robinson brotherhood lately, very dead like.

Loose fur is jeff tweedy (wilco) and jim orourke (sonic youth) side project. Great songs.

I like Jerry's side projects more than the dead. Legion of Mary and Reconstruction are the shite.

Are you saying that they are an Allman Bros side project? If so, I disagree.

Was gonna be my choice.

Temple of the Dog was basically a tribute to Andy Wood and led to some stellar collaborations down the road. The name taken from a MLB song

Mike McReady was in both of these side groups.

Led to Eddie Vedder being the lead singer of Mookie Blaylock, er, I mean Pearl Jam.
