LA Hunter's Ed Field Day Question

A spot opened for me on the wait list for a class tonight at 5pm. I've already completed the home study course, so this is the last thing I have to complete in order to get my license. I called the instructor and he said it lasts from 5-10pm. Does it really last 5 hours? I've heard several people tell me they've been in and out in 45 minutes on Saturday mornings.

BEst to post this on the outdoor board but when I took it (over 15 years ago) it was a 16hr course.

When I did it we got out about an hour early.

It will probably last till about 9.
I did it last fall.
Basically they just talk for a while, then half the class goes and shoots skeet, while the other half watches a movie. Then vice-versa. Then you take a test that is an absolute joke.
