So i do not know how many people came across the "Free Mike the Tiger" FB page, but they have started a new one. They believe they can stop getting Mike to go to the games, because it is cruel to him. God i love Hippies, if it were not for them i would not have a reason to laugh... lol

Oh you mean that tiger that lives in a 3 million dollar habitat and is fed quality food every day? Yah his life sucks.

Can't believe they are really still at this. Might as well mark up a loss on that one. That tiger isn't going anywhere.

I have a feeling they called in the bomb threat and thought they could kidnap him during the chaos.

I actually made the not-too-wise choice of going on that FB page and trying to reason with these imbeciles.
I stated all the obvious: Multi-million $ habitat better than any zoo, daily round the clock care by LSU's Top Ten School of Veterinary Medicine, plenty of food, a pool, trails and caves where he can hide food, shade trees, etc.

But some of these yoyo brains actually think Mike lives in the cage that is pulled around Tiger Stadium on gameday.

I finally gave them one telling stat, since they were 'so concerned' with Mike's feelings and emotional state when he goes to the games:

"Dear PETA: There are 8,760 hours in a year.
That's EIGHT THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY.
Do you know how many hours out of this 8,760 per year that Mike is NOT in his 15,000 square foot habitat? Approximately 24. 8 home games (some years only 7) times 3 hours per game (at most) that his is in the small cage pulled by the truck.
24.
They still said that is "too much."

I told them ok, whatever, goodbye. Idiots.

They don't understand how he lives in Tiger Mansion compared to the wild. Bunch of idiots.

This is all I have to say about PETA, other than they're a bunch of two-faced-pinko-commie-rat-bastards. Check the link below, but beware some of the photos on this site if you're a softy for dogs, like me.

and he didn't even go into the stadium this past weekend. He doesn't get in that trailer unless he wants to, so he actually spends less than 24 hours per year in his trailer.

We have two rescue dogs ourselves, Boudreaux and Maggie. (I only recently realized that Maggie's colors make her look like she's dressed out to take the field with the Saints.)

On second thought, she looks like she plays "D" for the Saints this year.
