Backup QB

I currently have Brady and Schaub as my QBs in a standard, 6pts all TDs league. This being my first time doing fantasy football, I didn't realize how bad Schaub would be in fantasy. Combined with Brady's slow first 2 weeks, I'm thinking I should be maybe try the waiver list to get a better backup. At least for Brady's bye week and possibly depending on matchups each week.
Some of the top QBs available are Flacco, Smith, Luck, and Dalton. Is it worth it to try to get a better backup?

Id drop Schaub for Flacco, Luck and Bradford (you didn't mention him but I'm assuming he's available.)
