Looking to get my first credit card

Any website in particular I can check out to compare cards and figure out what's best for me? It'll be used almost exclusively to pay for gas. TIA

Google has a service called Advisor

Amex green. Pay it off every month and don't worry about points and rewards that you'll probably never redeem.

I know that you asked for a website that compared many cards at once but this is not that info. I just went through the same process of getting my first credit card too. I have had my own debit card and my parents business CC for emergencies. I had no problem using my debit card for everything but Chase recently (last year) stopped giving reward points. So off I went looking for my first credit card.
I use Chase for all my banking and I am happy with them. I went to their website and compared all their cards. I found that the Freedom card fit me the best. I then went to Capital One and looked at their cards. Found their Venture Card was the best they offered for me. Finally, AmEX and I forget what I found to fit my needs.
Why I chose the Chase Freedom? I already did business with Chase and had no problems giving them more business. Their intro offer was 0% interest for 15 months (lots of cards offer this) and $100 cash back if you spend $500 in the first month. Daily reward points are 1% on all purchases. However, every quarter there are select categories that offer 5% reward points, gas stations and grocery stores are the two this quarter. Next quarter I cannot remember off the top of my head but I believe it is restaurants, Best Buy, and something else. My monthly expense on the card is only around $1,000 because I still use my debit card for bills (soon to change) but I already have a decent amount of reward points that I am going to use for gift cards this Christmas. And this should have gone at the beginning but this card has no annual cost either.
Sorry for the rant but I do want to add, as much time as you spend on the OB you might want to consider a Bass Pro store card. They have a great into offer (around 15% off) and a small percentage off every purchase. I'm sure the interest rate is very high but that's your call.

FYI, although easy for first timers to get, I'd stay away from Capital One. The card will not grow with you, which will not help your credit score once you have to open a new Credit Card account with a different company (due to your Ave. Age of Accounts taking a hit).
They'll give you a $500 limit at first, bump it up to $750 after a few months, but will not do any more credit limit increases. $750 credit line is nothing.
IMO, i'd go with the AMEX Green as mentioned. It is a charge card (must pay off every month), but it is just as good as a credit card (just pay it off each month), and it gets your foot in the door with AMEX, the best Credit Card company out there.

For a beginner, I think the Citi Forward is a great card.
It's designed to be a student card, so it should be easier to get approved for. Additionally, you get 5% back on restaurants and Amazon.

Hilton Honors AMEX. Points accumulate quickly and Hampton Inns are everywhere for cheap points. You would be suprised at how much you will use the rewards.
