Johnny Jones and Robert Kirby had their in-home visit with Mickey last night and his father said it went very well.

I saw this as well. Sounds like he's going to be an LSU Tiger

Most high-major recruits keep things relatively close to the vest when it comes to a decision timetable. Jordan Mickey certainly isn't one of them.

"The end of the month," he said Thursday night when asked if he was making his choice soon.

quote:

Mickey, a 6-foot-7 forward from the newly-opened Prime Prep (Tex.) in Dallas, is ranked No. 25 overall in the class of 2013. The former Grace Prep (Tex.) product fell just outside the five-star rating cutoff but has the potential to be one of the better combo forwards in the class.

Under new coach Johnny Jones, LSU is entering something of a rebuilding phase -- which could be attractive to Mickey. There would be playing time available immediately.
"I like coach Jones," Mickey said. "I like the offense and the ability to come in and make an immediate impact."

quote:

He insists there are no leaders of favorites, despite being less than two weeks from a potential decision.
"Just somewhere I feel comfortable with the players and coaches," Mickey said. "And people I can trust."

Who can you trust more than your brother? Especially since, by all accounts (I know some people that knew Wright from Belle Chasse), he does everything the right way both on and off the field.
