I have a few hundred dollars riding on USC money line...do I have anything to be worried about? Stanford can't be nearly as good this year without Luck and his TE's can they?

@ Stanford and USC was pretty sluggish for 3/4 of the game this past weekend...USC will probably win by +14 IMO.

I know you aren't betting the spread but what is the line for this game?

Stanford's OL is still very good.

They may be able to wear USC down with the run and keep the potent Trojan offense off the field.

Stanford has won the last 3 meetings.

Over the last 10 years...USC's chokes have been on their first conference road opener...like this game.

We always suck in our PAC 12 road opener. Yeah, you got good reason to worry. Unless Kiffin decides to open the playbook and quit the bubble screen bullshite, we'll lose that game. You have to stretch the field against Stanford with the deep ball, and exploit their secondary to beat them.

They also run the ball well, and are very physical at the LOS. We've got smaller, faster LB's designed to stop Oregon, not Stanford.

We could easily shite the bed here, shades of 2007.

Stanford is much better than Syracuse. This game could be a close call.

We sleptwalked through that Syracuse game. We brought 20,000 fans, I don't think Syracuse had that many there at a "home game" for them. The atmosphere sucked, and there was no energy.

This one is in a small, but intimate venue, and the crowd will be fired up. There will be a bunch of SC fans in the crowd, and the Furdies will bring as much hexadecimal hatred as they can calculate.

The atmosphere and energy of the setting has a lot to do with how the players play. That part doesn't concern me. Conservative play calling and not stopping the run behind Stanford's big OL concerns me.

I think this is a good ballgame that could go either way. I am also of the opinion that USC is overrated and on paper should not be the #3 team in the country ... good offense, average at best defense, not very much depth. The last two things are defintely not trademarks of a Top5 team IMO.

It's still a young team with a lot of upside. They need to continue to improve every week. I'm not at all worried about where we're ranked right now. Just worried about winning on Saturday.

If USC makes it to Miami...which I don't think happens, but is possible...I think they will get beat handily by a Bama or LSU, or even an Oklahoma or FSU, based on their lack of depth...that is gonna be an issue for them at some point against an elite team.

In a physical game against Stanford, it could cost them as well.

God, this "lack of depth" is the talking point of year...replacing, "eyeball test."

If and when USC loses it's because they're one-dimensional on offense and our secondary hasn't shown any improvement from last year in getting lit up.

USC's only saving grace is the shift to a running conference by all these Pac 12 teams...either by spread or power like Stanford.

Syracuse has a pretty good QB - I actually think the Cuse aren't a bad team. Up and coming from year's past.

I just hope they beat em up. Will help as they move through their schedule.
