It's apparent he's not a true receiver. Just too many dropped balls.

My question is do you think he can have an effective role in this offense? I would suggest using him at running back and in the slot for speed sweeps.

No because OBJ has proved he can catch the ball consistently and run routes effectively. Shep has not.

No...he hasn't been able to since he got on campus. The only contribution he has made is in recruiting. He's a great host.

Yes, he's proven he can take it to the house anytime he touches the ball.

RS is contributing more than me/you know. If he wasn't, he wouldn't be playing. One thing should be clear to everyone by now, and it's that LSU has plenty of talent at all positions. If there was someone better than RS as one of the (3) wides, he'd be playing.

This applies to all players right?

Have to find something negative huh? Can't just enjoy a dominating win.

This doesn't seem negative to me...he asked if RS could contribute.

No, he has bad hands, can't make defenders miss, goes down at first contact, and fumbled a couple times early in his career. But he is fast, so if he gets the ball and has a big hole, he can gain yards, but only in a straight line, and we have skillet her fast skill position players. I love the guy, but unfortunately Shep's just not a playmaker for us.

Shep does contribute and has earned his spot. The offensive scheme does not use him much right now but we are not seeing the whole playbook either.

I hope Shep keeps plugging away and if nothing else he will have a few nice runs / catches this year and contribute.

Shep is a Tiger!!!! Get over it already!

Underachiever on field. Leader in the locker room. Appreciate him being a team player and playing position he has been asked to play. But the guy is not even a credible decoy any more.

I am sure they gave him his shot in practice. Miles knows his team.

Shep can definitely contribute. I honestly think that was a valid TD grab he had yesterday. I refuse to give up on Shep. He's a Tiger, damn it.
