Slant pass strategy

Could it be that all those flat passes against North Texas were thrown to set up the slant passes that fooled the Wash. defense so badly? If so, that's downright diabolical.

When I talked to me brother during the week, I said the I thought that this was coming. Now the D will have to respect the slant and it will open up our elusive wr's to run with the screen.

And the slant passes were used to set up the screen passes against Idaho next week.
And the cycle continues the week after.

you think?
I couldn't help but think of the threads last week bemoaning the qucik screen
esp after it had Udub confused on basically two straight pass plays
Our fans are so moronic....but we love them anyway

They're there first and foremost to keep Bama from stacking the box to stop our run game or pressing our WR's too much.

diabolical indeed. it has taken me awhile to notice and confirm this, but miles is accutely aware that our competitors use film a the basis for their game planning against us. duh you say. but miles uses our film against them when he can. he knew north tejas was not a threat to beat us so he set washington up with those damn flat passes and it worked. the announcers were hilarious when their saftey and linebacker bit on back to back slants and failed to cover the slant WR. of course, the ducats have been spent; the good teams left on our schedule will use this game to plan against us.
