Tulane player just taken from field on in an ambulance

Happened just before the half to former walk on saftey Devon Walker from NO. I hope the young man is OK and it was more of a precationary act

Damn it didn't look that bad the one time I saew it on replay, but appaarently everyone at field level immediately knew that it was bad

Really hope he's ok.

I saw something similar happen in the 1A LHSAA state championship game about 14 or 15 years ago. Stopped play for about a half hour, maybe longer. Guy had a neck/spinal injury. It was a kid from Kentwood if I remember correctly.

I doubt everyone at the field knew he wasn't breathing. Especially right after it happened.

Diving to make a tackle .. Hs own player who was also diving hit him in the head ..

Ball carrier was going down and he and another teammate from the other side came in at the same time to try to hit him low. Hit the top of his head against his teammate's shoulder/chest/helmet (couldn't tell).

Yea looks like it. They showed a short replay on ESPN. I didn't get a good look at it though
