So, meeting my buddy at 1145am. There's a wait. No big deal. Really looking forward to the gator wrap and some waffle fries.

My buddy and I sit. And talk. And wait. And talk.

Several groups of two or more come in, are informed of the wait and leave. Few stay. It is in observing this we overhear that one of the servers called in sick and there's an entire section not open.

At one point, a party of at least 12 and at least 8 wait for a few minutes and then give up.

At no time did I observe the manager at the front trying to manage any of this. Just the hostess and server girls hustling.

I understand that staff gets sick. But I haven't seen a manager be that derelict in duty of watching and working the front of the house. Several hundred dollars in lunches gave up and opted for another place. (when we were seated, there were no observable emergencies in the seating area or kitchen that would require unbroken attention of the manager.

Oh, and they were out of gator. I went with the shrimp wrap. The shrimp wrap is tasty but terribly overpriced for the serving size. Yeah, great, I got some waffle fries. But damn, that was a tiny shrimp wrap.

Not impressed with anything but the hotness of the girls working. I was excited to go today and it was just suck from start to finish. I'll stick with Pastime, Chimes or others in the LSU area.

There are just some people the should 't be a KM or GM as it is over thier heads. When the place is busy you jump into the fray and get shite done NOW, it doesn't matter if that is washing dishes, everything comes with the territory so do the damned job.

Oh, and there were at least two tables in need of bussing. The buser (busser?) was working his arse off clearing what he could and doing a solid job of it. No one was pitching in to help that guy. So you had a couple of tables in the section that was open and otherwise full just waiting to clear.

i was mainly referring to the fact that you were saying walk ons was over priced for what you got, then saying you frequented pastime.

Pastime has to be the single most outrageously priced place in BR.

I ate the New Orleans location a few weeks ago before a Saints game and was pleasantly surprised. The menu has changed since I have been there and the staff was easy on the eyes. I would certainly go back to the NOLA location.

I have had the pleasure of working four different stations in the old Mike Andersons due to BS that day. Three were in the kitchen, the other busing. I was a very tired man when lunch was over and looked at what resembled the Argonne forest on 11-11-11 and had to clean it all.

Walk Ons is nothing more than bar food. Simple. To me it's an awesome place just to go chill at the bar, get an appetizer or maybe some chicken tenders (can't really mess that up), and relax.

And of course...

Burbank location is going to get their arse handed to them if they catch wind. You can say a lot of things about WO, but it's a pretty damn well run organization.

One of the girls was obviously stuffing her bra. If her real body was like that, she wouldn't be working Walk Ons lunch.

And one girl could lose 4 lbs. Thighs looked a lil cheesy.

The point was, they had lots of folks waiting for tables and there were solutions but I never saw anyone besides the hostess, servers and buser working on it.
