If I remember correctly:
After their last album in 2008, I think most of the band wanted to take some time off. Flowers was interested in continuing to work, which is why he released that solo album in 2010.

Sounds about right. They headlined "X-Fest" at the River Center. Was the first year that they had that.

Really good band - I'm worried that they're on the verge of becoming "uncool" like Coldplay though.
