Hilton just cancelled my room for tomorrow night...

Hilton GM just called and cancelled my reservation for tomorrow night since Jindal called a state of emergency and rooms are needed for emergency personnel. I completely understand and I can make things work out, but I know some out of town fans may be in trouble with this short of a notice. SIAP

I'm sure it has happened in the past. The big electric companies and clean up crews have contracts with the major hotels. If they call a state of the emergency, the hotel apparantly has to honor the agreements and kick out non essential people.
