Watching Games from Australia

I recently relocated to Melbourne, Australia and I'm getting ready to hopefully watch the opener v. UNT. What's my best bet for streaming the game? Also, if anyone knows an LSU bar down here I'd definitely be interested in checking that out for some of the bigger games. Thanks!

Not many bars open at 8 am on a Sunday in Melbourne. I travel there quite a bit for work an always watch online. Either Slingbox, or some other method like geaux zone.
They dont care for the gridiron much down under. And their TV is terrible.
so Good on ya mate! and

I think you need to go to LINK / and look down a little bit for the Video section. You need to sign up for the GeauxZone to get the live streaming. I think you could get it from ESPN3 as well. I am not certain, but I think there are fees in both cases so it is not free.
Don't know much about LSU Bars though

Don't worry you'll be able to see the games some how. I lived in Perth for last season and saw everygame up to Alabama. If you have foxtel then some times the games will be televised on espn. If not on espn go to espn3, then I'd that doesn't work go to Justin.tv. Not many bars will be open at 8am but for a big game you could check out the casino there in Melbourne.

It takes some work. I use ESPN Player in Europe, but its site says that it isn't available in Australia. See:

Or this:
LINK /
It gives you links as to how to watch in other places, but I couldn't work it out for Australia. See what you can work out yourself.
An option (a legal one) which will definitely work is to get a UK proxy server and subscribe to ESPN Player in the UK. The game is definitely being shown on that service tonight. A US proxy server will get you to ESPN3.com (I think now called Watch ESPN) in the US, but I'm not sure that today's game is being shown there (I read somewhere a few days ago that it wasn't, but it also wasn't showing on the ESPN Player UK site a few days ago either, and it is now). You will need a US proxy server to get the SEC games shown on CBS, which are streamed from the main CBS web site but aren't available on the ESPN services.
There are also other (illegal) options for watching, which basically involve people illegally streaming a local US TV feed over the internet. You'll see some of them mentioned occasionally on this site.
Good luck in Oz, and despite what others say you must at least try vegemite!

It sounds like their might be a market for a LSU bar in melbourne. Y'all should pool your assets together and start one. It could be profitable.

I am relocating from Brisbane down to Melbourne this weekend. I have a sling box that I watch with, albeit slow, if it gets to dire straits. Otherwise, the bigger games should be on ONE or ESPN. Let me know if you want to get together for any of the games.
