re: Recommendations for things to do/see in Vietnam - MnM
Hoi an was one of my favorite cities on my 4 month Southeast Asia trip. Go eat at all the cool little restaurants and enjoy the French architecture that wasn't destroyed in the war. I think one day we rented bikes and rode around the city and went to the beach. The main thing I remember in hue was...

re: Backpacking in Europe vs. Asia? - MnM
There's some bad advice about Asia in this thread. If you're looking for awesome beaches, cheaper trip, and want to experience a different culture do some research on south east Asia. Language barrier isn't that big of a deal and I never felt like it was dangerous for the 4 months I back packed ther...

re: Want to buy cigarettes in Australia? This is what you'll find. - MnM
This doesn't stop people from smoking. I used to live in Australia. Paying $20 a pack on the other hand definitely will keep you from smoking as much...

re: Trip to Europe, Tour booking question - MnM
If you want to spend more money than you need to, do an inclusive bus trip. Best to just have a general plan of what you want to do and stay at a hostel in each city. Hostels are a lot of fun and you will meet tons of other travelers. It's better to have some freedom also in case you meet some peopl...

re: Contemplating early retirement and moving to Phuket - MnM
Phuket has nice resorts and is very touristy. Alot of old fat ugly guys banging young Thai prostitutes there. If that's what you like go for it. If you want a nice chilled out city to move to try Chang Mai which is northern Thailand. It's very cheap and you can always go to the beach resorts down so...

re: Finished with school and want to disappear - MnM
Get a working holiday visa in Australia or new Zealand. Minimum wage is very high in these countries and you can stay for up to a year. I just did this for a year after graduating Lsu and my trip went from just Australia and ended up spending a few months in Asia also. For all the people that say st...

re: Watching Games from Australia - MnM
Don't worry you'll be able to see the games some how. I lived in Perth for last season and saw everygame up to Alabama. If you have foxtel then some times the games will be televised on espn. If not on espn go to espn3, then I'd that doesn't work go to Justin.tv. Not many bars will be open at 8am bu...
