re: Anyone here ever been to Nicaragua? - MnM on 5/9/17 at 1:11 pm
It's a pretty cool little surf town. I spent a week there a couple years ago. There's a few surf beaches 10-20 min away from the town that are good to spend a day at. If you're young and wanting to party a bit make sure you go to Sunday fun day. If you haven't booked a place yet you should book this...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Phuket, Siem Reap, or Hoi An? - MnM on 4/16/17 at 1:50 pm
If you're gonna do Thailand stay in krabi over Phuket. Siem reap and hoi an were two of my favorite places so im biased to those two but any of those three would be great. I guess ultimately it depends on what type of activities you want to do. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Has anyone ever flown Frontier Airlines? - MnM on 3/21/17 at 1:16 pm
Ive flown frontier multiple times and it's fine. It gets you from point A to B. If you're a spoiled brat and need all the extras and a higher level of comfort then book a better carrier that cost more money. You get what you pay for with frontier. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Australia - 9 Days Down Under (Uluru, Melbourne, Cairns, Sydney) - Leave Wednesday - MnM on 3/21/17 at 1:09 pm
Might be better off doing a rainforest tour in cairns instead of the beach. Most people go to the man made lagoon there and not the beach because of crocodiles. If you want to do some partying in cairns check out Gillian's backpackers. I enjoyed the blue mountains a lot so I can recomend that. M...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Need Advice - Trip to Thailand with a stopover in Dubai - MnM on 1/28/17 at 8:48 am
No extra time in Dubai. Spend about 2 days in Bangkok and the rest of the time in Phuket and the surrounding area. I wouldn't recommend trying Chang Mai on an 8 day trip. If you dont plan on going back to se Asia and want to squeeze in another city go to siem reap, Cambodia. I've been to all the pl...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Bringing cash on trip to Germany - MnM on 11/29/16 at 1:04 pm
Bring $200 for emergencies. Once you get there use your card to take money out of the atm in local currency. Make sure your bank doesn't rape you on charges using what ever card you have. If you plan on doing a lot of international travel open a Charles schwab investor checking account and use the p...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Graduated from Lsu, worked 6 months then got a working holiday visa for Australia. Bought the one way ticket to Australia and lived and traveled there for 8 months then traveled SE Asia for 4 months. Best year of my life and would highly recommend doing it. If you think you can easily get work when ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Hoi an was one of my favorite cities on my 4 month Southeast Asia trip. Go eat at all the cool little restaurants and enjoy the French architecture that wasn't destroyed in the war. I think one day we rented bikes and rode around the city and went to the beach. The main thing I remember in hue was...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Backpacking in Europe vs. Asia? - MnM on 9/30/15 at 11:56 am
There's some bad advice about Asia in this thread. If you're looking for awesome beaches, cheaper trip, and want to experience a different culture do some research on south east Asia. Language barrier isn't that big of a deal and I never felt like it was dangerous for the 4 months I back packed ther...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
