How is most of BR still with power? In the past we would have all been done for.

But I agree, I'm shocked so many people are still up.

feel like some of the places out are stange to, all the powerlines are underground here in santa maria and its out

I imagine the rebuilt lines from 2008 are constructed better than they were before.

Its because Isaac is weakening and won't produce half the gust that Gustav did also.

I wouldn't bank on the underground lines. It is overhead somewhere. Plus, it always isn't a branch or broken poles that causes an outage.

Mine finally went out about an hour ago. Who has had theirs come back on? I don't feel like fooling with my big generator now. Think I'll wait awhile and cross fingers.

I'm amazed that I still have power. It's going pretty hard outside. I've turned into an information hub right now. I have people in 6 parishes getting updates from me right now lol
